Community Events

WHEN WE FOUNDED DLFG IN 2010, VOLUNTEERING AND GIVING BACK WAS AN IMPORTANT COMPANY GOAL. WHETHER TRAVELING TO OTHER AREAS OF THE COUNTRY OR VOLUNTEERING RIGHT HERE IN BOSTON, WE SUPPORT MANY ORGANIZATIONS AND MAKE IT A POINT TO SUPPORT CAUSES THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO OUR CLIENTS AND OUR COMMUNITY. WE ALSO ENJOY INTERACTING WITH OUR CLIENTS ON A MORE SOCIAL LEVEL AT CHARITABLE AND COMPANY-SPONSORED EVENTS. HERE IS A BRIEF SNAPSHOT OF SOME OF OUR RECENT EVENTS AND VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES:

2018 Holiday Open House & Toy Drive

December 13 and 15, 2018

What a great turn-out for our annual Toy Drive and Open House! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the wine tasting and Tuscan Kitchen feast. Following the Open House/Toy Drive, we dropped all toys to Malden Catholic, then picked up hundreds of toys to help our friend Mellinda Abbott (Abbott & Co., CPAs) with her toy drive, and distributed the toys to many local families. The kids were a big help! We are so thankful to have such amazing friends and clients. Thank you for helping us make a difference in Our Community.

CFO Collaborative & Oktoberfest Beer Social - October 2018

October 23, 2018

A great CFO roundtable discussion at Night Shift Brewing was led by Bento executives Peter Padovano and Ryan Traeger, fellow CFO, Chris Caprio, and moderator Rich LeBranti. Bento’s innovative and transparent approach to group benefits was discussed in detail. Brian Lynch also offered a valuable perspective on the state of the health insurance market and how it applies to Bento’s unique offering. An Oktoberfest Beer Social followed with many of DLFG’s clients and friends. A great night was enjoyed by all. And the Sox won Game 1 of the World Series.

CFO’s should feel free to contact Rich or Dennis with interest in attending our next CFO session. The CFO Collaborative’s main goals are career growth and CFO case study collaboration within a culture of lifelong learning.

People Helping People 2018

October 23, 2018

Rich LeBranti and Dennis Doble had a great time bringing food from The Greater Boston Food Bank to Burlington Families yesterday. We learned that banana boxes are a kind of currency in the food industry, rotating from organization to supplier to organization throughout the state.

Artepicure Cooking Class

12pm - 4pm

June 2018

What a wonderful time at Artepicure Cooking School in Somerville last week. The owner Mark was a fabulous host and we enjoyed helping him prepare Tuscan Bean Soup, Chicken Marsala and Molten Chocolate Cake.

The wine suggestions were a great pairing with the food and fun was had by all, thanks to everyone for joining us!

Client's First - Seattle

12pm - 4pm

May 2018

We were lucky to be invited guests last week to a Commonwealth Conference in Seattle, WA and asked to be on an advisor panel with the theme of "Client's First".

Rich served as a panelist discussing how we treat our client relationships. Much of the panel focused on how we strive to “wow” each and every client from the beginning of every relationship.

It was also great to hear Scott Meden, the Chief Marketing Officer for Nordstrom, speak on “Marketing in a Digital World,” how they brand their company, and how Nordstrom makes life easier for the high-end client.

We also had time for some fun touring the city and enjoyed Pike Place, Starbuck's Reserve, the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum (amazing) and Woodinville Winery.

The next day we helped clean and paint Mary's Place, which is a shelter that helps homeless women, children, and families get the food and resources they need to get back into permanent housing. It was a moving experience and we got to meet some of the families currently living there.
