The LeBranti Family

Rich LeBranti

I am a life-long MA native and live in Andover with my wife, Nadine and our two teenage daughters. When I am not in the office, I keep busy taking the girls to dance class and cheering them on at soccer games.  Dinner dates are a must for Nadine and me, and we are spoiled in Andover with many great options. I don’t watch TV shows (unless they are from the 80’s – Cheers and Night Court anyone?!?!), but the Boston Celtics are always on from October to May in the LeBranti household. In between the flurry of kids sports and activities, we love exploring some of our favorite places on summer weekends: Castle Rock in Marblehead, MA, where I went often as a child, New York City, to enjoy picnics in Central Park, and Old Orchard Beach, ME where we are lucky enough to enjoy a family beach home and the arcades, rides and a huge candy store in the town center. In winter, you will find us in Stowe, VT for family ski get-aways.

The LeBranti Family Garden is always an annual highlight, where we spend a great deal of time preparing the soil and planting vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, Italian eggplant, lettuce and herbs. Nothing is better than picking a ripe tomato off a vine and eating it like an apple!  At season’s end, we pickle the remaining green tomatoes to enjoy all fall and winter. (Ask me for my recipe.) I also spend each January making my own homemade fresh and dry sausage – sometimes 100’s of pounds—that is shared among a few families who work over 2 days to make an amazing, finished product. I have also joined one of these families in making homemade red wine, an art I hope to master as I stay connected with my 100% Italian heritage. Fun fact: my paternal grandfather, Joseph LeBranti, who was from Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, was a candy maker and the inventor of Junior Mints.

Music is another passion for the LeBranti’s. I am a self-admitted bass and drum hack and have a collection of 2000+ vinyl records (which I inherited!!). We are always playing a rotation of favorite songs of all 4 of us (Taylor Swift wins often) and find ourselves singing and dancing as a group to many great songs in our kitchen. When not at home enjoying music with the family, I can sometimes be found at a few different local establishments playing vinyl records for the dancing enjoyment of others (fyi: I don’t do weddings).

I graduated from Malden Catholic High School in 1994. If you ask me why I have been blessed with some personal and professional success, I will credit much of it to MC, along with my loving family support and good old-fashioned hard work. I am a member of the Board of Trustees at MC, as well as the Nominating Officer of the MC Alumni Association Board, which I helped to create. Our group sponsors many annual events that help raise money for various scholarships that we award each year, as well as Toys for Tots, where I coordinate the donation of toys from our clients over the holidays. Our biggest and newest undertaking is a Mentor Program, (something I hold dear to my heart), a group to which almost 100 MC alumni, along with me, have dedicated themselves to be a resource for career advice, internships and a connection to a fellow MC students and alums who may have had a similar experience or share an interest in a specific industry or field of study. My passion for MC runs deep and I live by the school’s motto at home and in business – “Plus Ultra” = More Beyond.

I graduated from Stonehill College with a BS in Biology in 1998. On track for medical school, with a life-long dream of becoming a doctor and helping others, I realized in my junior year after interning in the cardiology unit at NEMC (now Tufts) and watching two open heart surgeries (that was so cool!), that medicine did not suit me. Since I still had a desire to help people, I decided that financial planning would be a great profession. Thanks to a life mentor, who I still credit today with much of my personal and professional success, I had the chance to fulfill that desire of helping people and took a job at OneCore in 2000, working under my mentor, as the first steppingstone to building a financial planning practice. At OneCore, I assisted small businesses with their finance needs regarding cash management, retirement planning and insurance. Soon after leaving OneCore in 2001, I met Dennis Doble at Allmerica Financial. We teamed up as business partners, eventually opening our own firm called Doble LeBranti Financial Group (DLFG). In 2023, after a 22-year successful partnership with Dennis, we closed DLFG and I merged my practice with Axial Financial Group, where I continue to help families and businesses achieve their financial planning and retirement goals. In 2012, I received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation.
